MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS VOLUNTEER

What will I be doing?

We are looking for a Media and Communications Volunteer to join our small fundraising team. Use your experience and knowledge to help us identify opportunities and ideas for increasing our charity's media profile.

What skills and qualities can I bring to this role?

Experience of promoting media coverage, drafting press releases and forming relationships with media contacts. This volunteer role is home based (unless you live locally) so you will need access to your own computer and internet. You will need to use your own initiative and feel happy working from home whilst knowing that you are part of a team.
What support will I be given?

Expenses will be reimbursed (although we can’t cover the cost of home internet use) and you will be given supervision and support from the Fundraising Manager.

When will I be needed?

On average four hours a week, flexibility is offered and a trial period is recommended in the interest of both parties.

Location:

If home based anywhere in the UK, or there is the possibility of working in small fundraising office in Beckenham, Kent.
